A fabulous antique Edwardian Suffragette brooch adorned with white Pearls, two green Emeralds and an impressive violet Amethyst which is approx. 18ct. Suffragette jewellery was worn to show one’s allegiance to the women’s Suffragette movement in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which carried the message: Green for Give, white for Women and violet for Votes! The stones are set in a lovely 18ct Yellow Gold gallery which displays beautiful cannetille workmanship with intricate swirling patterns. A highly collectable brooch and a splendid representation of Suffragette jewellery.
